For added convenience – load your monthly pass and load an account balance that covers any inter-agency transfers or unexpected transit cost extras.
Your TAP card is a payment method that works in one of three ways – you can load an account balance, load a monthly pass or load both. Whichever option you choose, you still pay the same amount with exact change or paper passes.
Load an account balance to pay cash fares:
Just purchase a TAP card and this subtract-as-you-go method deducts the exact fare from your account balance each time you ride, freeing you up from carrying around exact change. Anytime your balance gets low, simply replenish your account.

In addition, Transit Stored Value balance, pass products, or Transit Stored Rides cannot be refunded or exchanged for an alternate product. Sales are final.
